Sub Plan: May 19th, 2011
Breakfast: Take attendance and send it to the office. During breakfast please ask students who haven't yet finished the Technology survey to complete that. The link is on the home page.
Math: Mod 1: 8:15- 9:00 Do the Pre-Test . If students finish early they can begin work on page 15 in Bits and Pieces III.
Language Arts: Mod 3: 9:40-10:25 We are currently reading Four Perfect Pebbles. Have students review up to page 45 looking for examples of courage, hope, despair, resiliency, and resourcefulness. These attributes are the theme of our study. Have them record the page numbers and a short description of the example in their journals.
Ex: Finding four perfect pebbles was an example of hope. (Page 7) She hoped that her 4 family members would survive and that finding 4 perfect pebbles would be a sign that they would.
If students finish their Language Arts activity early have them draw a picture of an important scene.
Science: Mod 4: 10:25-11:15 Bill Nye Friction Video: Students should complete the worksheet that accompanies the video. They may use their text books or Netbooks to accomplish this task.
Social Studies: Split Mod 5: 11:15- 11:40 AND 12:05- 12:27 Work on Maritime Project. See Guidelines: Maritime Project
Also during Social Studies we may be interrupting class to Skype with teachers at the Dynamic Landscape Conference.
Mod 8: 2:00 Students can use this time to continue Maritime Project Work or Complete the Bill Nye Worksheet. If all is completed they may silently read.
